Share to your jar

You find the thing months before you do it — a corn maze, a restaurant, a post someone sent you. Share it into a jar and it's there when you need it.

First time — put it in your share sheet

iOS hides newly installed share options until you turn them on. You do this once, from any app.

  1. Tap Share on anything — a web page, a photo, a post.
  2. Scroll the row of app icons to the end and tap More.
  3. Find Date Night Jar in the list and switch it on.
  4. Optional, and worth it: press Edit, then drag Date Night Jar up into Favorites so it's always the first thing you see.
  5. Tap Done.

After that

  1. Tap Share, then Date Night Jar.
  2. Pick the jar it belongs in.
  3. Add a note if you want, and save.

It lands in that jar, pinned at the top, holding the link, the image and whatever text came with it. Open it when you're ready and turn it into a proper idea — the original is kept either way.

What you can share

A web link, an image, or plain text — so most things, from most apps. Whatever the app hands over is what arrives.

If it isn't there

No Date Night Jar in the More list.

Open the app once after installing it, then try again. If it still doesn't appear, restart your iPhone — iOS caches the list of share options and sometimes needs a nudge.

Nothing to pick from.

You need at least one jar. Make one in the app, then share again.
